Avaliação da contribuiçãoDianne’s fish and chips is one of the restaurants we visit frequently. They have the best calamari we have ever eaten simply breaded but always crispy, with pickled peppers and an accompanying aioli.<br/ <br/ One of the reasons that led us to seek out this restaurant is that it one of the few in our area that can boast a sustainable fish supply “ocean wise” standard, which is regarded quite highly) and they locally source their beef. <br/ <br/ We have tried the fish tacos a couple times and while the toppings were great and the fish delicate, we thought the corn tortillas tasted a bit undercooked. They aren’t made in house, according to a waitress. <br/ <br/ The service has always been great, although the first time we were there we didn’t receive the delicious complimentary buns they give you once you’ve ordered. The restaurant has always been clean as well. <br/ <br/ You do have to traverse a set of stairs to use the washrooms, which prohibits wheelchair access to those facilities. <br/ <br/ In terms of value, we thought that the calamari dish was a great deal considering how much food was on the plate. As for the fish tacos, they were quite small for the price. The Dianne’s hamburger was good, but paying $18 for a burger and quite ordinary fries may put some people off. We generally just go for the calamari now.
Awesome seafood The fish cakes were awesome. The fish, beef and pork tacos were wow. The grilled yellowfin tuna simply fabulous and to top it all off must have desert hello Dolly.<br/
I’ve read in many places about their infamous seafood poutine and decided to try it for myself!<br/ <br/ Loved the combination and a very large portion!<br/ <br/ The jumbo shrimp with fries were also delicious!<br/ <br/ But what I loved the most was the amazinggg customer service, so kind and always checking up on us <br/ <br/ I recommend this place for all the pescatarians and seafood lovers out there!
Dianne's is one of Kingston's many restaurant gems. Located near Confederation Basin near City Hall, my wife and I have been here twice. The food and service is always top notch, and you get what you pay for with this local restaurant. On our most recent visit we shared two appetizers: the tequila shrimp and the crab cakes. Both were delicious, the shrimp especially! We originally ordered the fried calamari but it was a very busy night and they had run out, the manager offered us the crab cakes and comped our appetizers to our surprise! For our entrees my wife ordered the pulled pork tacos and I had the smokehouse ribs and brisket. Both were excellent and we both took food home! As we were there for our anniversary they also gave us dessert on the house! Try their **** caesar or their margaritas, both cocktails were wonderful!
Delicious delicious delicious! Stopped in after reading great reviews and was not disappointed: had a simple supper of spicy calamari, Brussel sprouts, and a glass of Chardonnay. With tip, it came to under $25, and was worth every penny! Portion size, flavours, and execution was great worth a visit if you're in Kingston!
