Found chicken in garden salad wasn't ordered and was for a vegan. Don't eat here even when stuck in traffic

We pulled off the 401 to fuel up for the final leg of our Ottawa journey. The restaurant was packed but there was no wait. Our server was attentive and friendly. Probably because it was a busy night we had to wait a little longer than I'd expect from East Side Mario's for our mains. But our server checked in with us to let us know that it was on its way. Once they arrived the family agreed that it was worth the wait. 4/5s all around. I really enjoyed my choice from the lighter fare - Riso Italiano (see picture). I'd get that again when we return to the chain. Also I made a convert to the Italian Wedding soup in my daughter. She loved it!

I love that East Side Mario's has a take-out area that is not inside the restaurant. It was extremely busy the night we were there (Fri. Apr. 27th). The staff were very pleasant even though they were under pressure. Thank you to the young man with great hair for keeping his cool & being professional regardless of the stress he was under. The take-out was great, pizza & salad. The house dressing was really good.

I ordered steak and Gorgonzola wrap. I had to search for the Gorgonzola. I sent it back. Kept the fries to nibble on eventhough they were cold. It came back with the cheese this time, but they didnt replace the fries. My son ordered unlimited soup, salad and bread. We didnt get the bread until we asked. At the end of the meal.
