7th and Bake - Kingston

I've tried this place a couple of times, first time I wasn't too happy, inexperienced staff, and cold coffee. Thought I'd give it another go. This time $14.50 for a coffee & cake. After I paid, I inquired about the cost, they charge 10% extra on weekends. the cake was dry, and I was told I would have to have a take away cup because they were closing. Why serve me at all. You have lost my vote, I won't be back

A bit confused on the ushering whether to take our seats or wait to be seated. Food was enjoyable, most importantly fresh. My salmon fish was overcooked. A tad disappointing but flavours of everything else compliments each other.

Busy place over the Easter weekend but enjoyed the hot smoked salmon. Great outlook, great coffee and food. Weather was perfect . Didnt want to get up

I've had t/a desserts & they were amazing once beforw. Decided to eat in today. Half the staff were friendly on the ball other half was still thinking about their hunt for easter eggs. Coffee was bitter, hot chocolate no taste & cold. Ordered their version of eggs Benedict, hard poached eggs with a hollandaise sauce that was too runny & too much vinegar. The table space is tiny so don't bother with prams. Nice outlook on the lake with some seating in the sun.

Loved this place. Location and food was very pleasant. Coffee was well done and came quicker than i expected, especially with a packed cafe. The signs on menu made it clear it was counter service like most small cafes these days and the young girl that served us was very warming. Thanks guys
