We stopped by for a quick bite of lunch and it was one of the tastiest toasties I'd had! Service was so friendly and the atmosphere of the place is super welcoming and warm. First customers today on a wet dreary Monday morning ,very welcoming,food delicious,I've been in catering for over 30 years and run several venues in the Cotswolds,from one caterer to another,..... Went there in the mid morning. Was seated and told it was table service. Waited for 20 minutes for someone to take our order, during which time 4 tables around us were cleared, an outside table that was empty when we arrived was served and a man who had just come in was served too, which was the final straw so we left. On numerous occasions there were staff pottering behind the counter, avoiding our eyes, or walking past our table to take things off other empty tables. Popped in for a cup of tea and cake on the way back from the Lake District,. Lovely little place that allowed dogs, so perfect for us. Tea and cake were suitably lovely and the service was spot on. Nice wines to buy too but ran out of time. Would like to come again and spend more time there. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
