Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis location was renovated since the last time I was there. I didn't recognize it when I entered. Very nice atmosphere inside. Was kindly greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress was very friendly and provided quick service. The food was excellent, came to our table quickly, there were no mistakes on the order, and as per usual Swiss Chalet fair, you get a lot for the money.
Having read many reviews, both good and bad, a friend and I went for lunch today to see for ourselves. I had the hot chicken sandwich with fries and steamed veggies, and she had a quarter chicken. Everything was hot and fresh and well presented, and our server, Jacinta, was very pleasant. We were very pleased. On a side note, the renovations are nice, although due to a strange design feature, staff cannot see you waiting at the front desk. We waited, but other people who arrived after us had to shout Hello? to be recognized and seated. (They could have simply walked a few feet forward and discreetly waived, all the same.
My 82 year old Dad and I had lunch today at this newly renovated location of Swiss Chalet. The renovation looks lovely however, a large center wall blocks the view into and from the restaurant. Therefore, we stood for a least 5 minutes before I walked into the restaurant to find someone to give us a table. I found a lone server looking after every table in the whole restaurant by herself. She ended up having to come to seat us. There were two other people behind us who gave up and left. That being said, the server named Chris was absolutely delightful! She apologized for the wait and was not only sincere and attentive but smiled through every interaction despite being run off her feet. There are a few new menu additions, I had roast beef with mashed potatoes and veggies. Dad had his regular ribs and fries and coleslaw followed by lemon meringue pie. The food was delicious and hot despite there only being one server. This location gets a good review because of our server Chris. She earned her 20% tip and carried the front of the restaurant admirably! To the owners; give this woman a raise and hire some more staff. Customers left because no one greeted and seated them...
Great service from our waitress, even though she was the only one working the whole restaurant that evening ... It was cold by the window where we first sat and she promptly noticed and moved us to another booth. Food was delicious as usual from the chalet experience and the atmosphere was good. Washrooms could be cleaner if the restaurant was better staffed. Hence the 4 stars.
They ran out of chicken so we had to wait 30 minutes but they made up for it with the excellent service from our waitress!
