Henry Viii Carvery - KITTERY

Cool place. Many roast beef options but they fail to mention that they do not slice the roast beef. Yes, I know it says hand carved sandwiches, but I’ve never had a cold roast beef sandwich before that wasn’t only not sliced, but diced into little 1/2 cubes like beef tartare. It tasted fine and fresh, just very different and not as good as thinly sliced roast beef. Just an fyi. I probably should have tried a pork or ham sandwich had I known they don’t even attempt to hand slice.$15 and change after tax and a cola. Sandwich was on a pre frozen 8” sub roll.

We got the town of London. It was amazing! We also loved the potato salad. Staff was friendly and we barely had time to pick a table before our order was ready! High recommend and will add it to our regular stops when we visit again!

My daughter and I were craving a roast beef sandwich and Henry VIII Carvery came up as the top choice. After eating there, I can see why. Living in Northern MA, I'm used to the North Shore style roast beef which is thinly sliced, piled high, and typically swimming in sauce.Here, they serve a chopped prime rib roast beef sandwich with this amazing sour cream horseradish sauce and it served on this perfect sub roll which is soft, a little crunchy crust and holds the meat nicely.The prime rib was perfectly cooked, super tender and flavorful and the the roll was very good. We enjoyed a bag of chips on the side.Cool decor in the restaurant including a full sized knight in shining armor. Of I loved closer to Kittery, I'd be here weekly. Definitely check them out!

This place is the perfect lunch spot. Never disappointed here.

Good place for a quick lunch. Nice menu options with tasty roast beef. More like take out. Even with gas fireplace, seating was lacking coziness. Sandwiches were served on a hoagie roll. Chips are extra. I was expecting something nicer for bread. Very good service and friendly staff.
