Duck Donuts - KITTY HAWK

I wanted to get coffee. I waited 40 minutes to get my coffee, just to ask the guy who checked me out what takes so long. He tells me the espresso machine is downstairs? He said he could get the manager to get a refund. The manager comes out, doesn't apologize or looks at me. I tried to give her my reception and she says she doesn't need it. Then give me money for a purchase made on my credit card. And it wasn't the right amount. They held my $2 tip. If she had looked at the receipt I tried to give her or asked if I wished it money or back to my credit card or had any conversation with me, I am sure that this mistake would not have happened. On the other hand, 2 days ago and the service and the general atmosphere was much better.

We said we had to go to Duck Donuts while we visited OBX. Hot, Fresh and Made to Order! It takes some time to be busy with them and to make them after the order, so it is not a fast in and out, but worth waiting. We have to stop before we go home!

We LOVE Duck Donuts, but why do they employ such negative and unfriendly people? I get people have bad days, but the woman we saw yesterday gave bad looks and I met the customers through grin and groans. I'm just glad we weren't one of the workers there because she was terrible for the young children who work there. But something management? the person went in 10 minutes before closing, and she was all smiling, laughing, and made herself like the hardest worker there. I'm going back to this place and I'm going to look for it in the other places.

Fresh, hot, nade-to-order donuts. Variety loads or you can create your own. This place is small, so at a busy weekend I would avoid. Also no options if you need to be gluten-free.

I have been a fan of Duck Donuts since there was only a single location. The donuts have changed a little, but the experience has changed a lot! Not a quaint, small town outing anymore. I really hope they turn off on-line ordering during the summer months because no one likes waiting in line for 20 minutes only to have an on-line order for 2 dozen donuts cut in front of you! I refuse to go to any of the franchise locations; I save the experience for vacations at OBX.
