The steak was just okay, as it had a bit too much fat for my liking. However, the chips and salsa were excellent!

This is one of the most authentic places we've discovered for Hispanic cuisine, and we absolutely love the service. They remember us every time we visit. The little market attached has everything you could possibly need. This has become our go-to spot for a Friday afternoon lunch date, and we keep coming back!

However, I had a frustrating experience during my recent visit to the LA Esperanza store and restaurant. On Friday night, I ordered a $14.99 meal and a $9.99 meal from their online menu, along with 8 tacos when I arrived for pickup. I also purchased a package of tortillas and a box of candy. Since we frequently order tacos and candy, I know how much this should cost. I used a non-refillable gift card I received for my birthday, but when I looked at the receipt, my total was $75.88! My gift card doesn’t provide cash back, so I can’t get a refund for the overcharge. The staff seemed confused, and when I asked for help, they didn't seem to comprehend the issue. Additionally, all the tacos looked questionable and not something I would want to eat. After this experience, I’m left wondering if they understand customer service at all. I won’t be returning.

This was the best authentic Mexican tacos I have ever had!!

The food here is fantastic! The hurrachas are delicious, and all the taco options are simply the best in Knoxville.
