Avaliação da contribuiçãoBeer was stale, food wasn't tasty, service poor. Very disappointing experience. No recommendation at all.
Even though it is well known in Cologne, it might appear as a hidden gem to non-Colognials due to its Biergarten being away from the street. Food selection and quality is absolutely great, service very friendly and fast. The pork knuckle is one...of the best in town, but their menu of the day is always worth trying. Or just plan ahead by reading the menu on their homepage, you'll become too hungry if you start reading there Take your friends there, you'll have a great time, cheers/prost!
Booked for got food at interested in serving frequent beers whilst waiting for food than serving food. Food ok when arrived but very salty. Could this be to make us order more beer? Very quick in bringing round bills. We’ll certainly never...visit again
I knew about Haus Unkelbach from reading the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and I couldn't wait to go there on our latest holiday to Cologne and the reviews were not wrong, this is the real deal ,a proper locals restaurant and bar. Haus Unkelbach has a...well lived in look with great decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this place and when the weather is good a really nice beer garden. The place looks cool and they offer traditional German meals and the famous Kölsch beer Cologne is famous for. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Thursday evening and this place was busy,as we had just ate we were here only for beers and a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of beers and we opted to have a beer widely available throughout Cologne namely Reissdorf Kölsch and these delicious beers were served iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular brewpub. The beer was outstandingly good and if we hadn't just ate at the previous restaurant we would have had a meal here as the meals leaving the kitchen looked and smelt delicious. Our beers were first class and so was the vibe in here ,we ended up staying here for three beers each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with the great brewpub. Haus Unkelbach is really easy to locate by jumping tram to stop Kettenberger/Sulzgurtelstraße which drops you off facing the restaurant. Opening hours are; Monday to till Midnight. Saturday till Midnight. A great traditional German restaurant and one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.
You need to get away from all the tourist areas to find this little treat. The tram station is right outside though. Authentic German food and drink, in fact the menu is only in German, but the people and staff are very kind and willing...to help the tourists.
