Avaliação da contribuiçãoFine Dine is possibly the most loosely used term in the restaurant business in Mumbai. Mondo Fine Dine is the exception though. Although seated within, the wooden furniture and the large windows give it the feel of an alfresco cafe. The fusion fine dine food served in a cafe like atmosphere definitely worked for us. Mondo works with a set menu complete with dedicated courses. The diners have choice of cuisine. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available. In addition, there is a selection of mocktails. The day we visited the cuisine options included Hyderabad and Morocco. The cuisine and dishes are changed every fortnight. Almost all of us, opted for Hyderabad for the love of mutton biryani. The food was fabulously served and tasted delicisous. We started off with raw banana bhajiyas with raw mango chutney. The chutney was served in containers with dry ice, adding a bit of a spectacle to a dish that doesn't lend itself to vanity. Next up was chicken shorba served in a kulhaḍ. This then led to the meat fest starting with a chicken kebab followed by mutton biryani. The latter was served with mirch ka salan, khaṭṭi dal and some plain rice garnished with caramelised onions. The presentation and tasted were absolutely perfect. The meal was topped off with sheer khurma. The portions of each course are just right. At the end of the meal one gets the feeling of being comfortably stuffed. Just for kicks, we ordered a Punjabi lassi with smoked cinnamon. The waiter bought out a cinnamon stick and liṭ it up right in front of us. The aroma of the cinnamon started to fill the air adding to the anticipation of the drink. When the stick looked burnt and had turned dark, the waiter dunked it in the lassi. Voila, one smoked cinnamon lassi. This is the first time I had cinnamon in lassi and it was the right fusion. During the entire meal, both the waiter and the owner, are at hand explaining stuff and answering any questions about the choice of food and its preparation. The kids menu is a clutch of finger foods, both for veg and non-veg. Things like fish fingers, chicken nuggets, veg tarts etc. This is the only thing that needs improvement. Perhaps they can throw in child servings of pasta, mini burgers etc. We had a wonderful time and we'll definitely keep visiting this place.
Something different to taste with a new set of menu..... French cuisine n do try duck in your platter. It was good to see the owner himself explaining the complete dish... No. 1 Chef from UAE n great presentation....
It was a pleasure dining at Mondo. What really impressed me was the enthusiasm of the chef cum owner to detail out a full course meal from soup to desert and taking care not to miss out the moctails which added to the authenticity of the meal .The ambience is contemporary and modern. The quality of food par excellence. Definetly a yes place
This place exhuberates class. All I can say is that I'm highly impressed and I don't think even a full 5 stars can do justice to the ratings of this place. It's a class apart. Matchless and simply not comparable to any place in the burbs.
Wonderfully curated Menu. Truly epitomises the concept of Fine Dine. Personalised service with warmth and grandeur. Leaves you wanting and craving for more and keep patronising. Well worth a visit.
