Avaliação da contribuiçãoWhen plan A fails, try Plan B- and I mean literally a restaurant labeling themselves as Plan B. Its a creative urban gourmet restaurant that offers asian, new American and Australian cafe cuisine paired with the stunning decor of chic and modern- which creates an ultimate spot for get togethers, dessert getaways or even parties. Plan B is designed for pleasure, dining and experience; this isn 't their only location, there is 8 located all around the Klang Valley, but each has a unique decor and experience, including this one. There isn 't a signature dish on their menu, but I would highly recommend their succulent gourmet burgers and beguiling desserts My experience so far has been positive with this location. The restaurant offers an indoor and outdoor dining experience. A dark amber water bottle is signature to this establishment, and is seen on every occupied table including mine. Their decor is simply stunning, especially as I look up, an arrangement of chairs stuck to the wall seemingly unaffected by gravity or as I call it looks like 'a demonic possession ' has taken over. Not everything on their menu will blow your mind- I personally think everyone has their own preference of what is good here. My personal favorite is the chargrilled cheeseburger, served with salad and fries for RM 33. I requested a medium rare, and it was definitely brought that way. Perfectly juicy thick beef patties, nicely seasoned too if I may add. Sandwiched in between a soft brioche bun, and compliment with fresh lettuce, cheddar cheese and perfectly crispy onion fritter. The burger is perfect, however I would prefer it, of they had steak fries instead of the show string fries, but thats just my preference. Its located within the publika mall, therefore parking is not exactly difficult, since there is a parking garage located within the shopping mall. If one improvement could be made, it would be with their wait staff, which lacks being friendly and attentive- almost glum in my opinion. However the wait staff did get the food promptly and did not make any mistake so great job there. I also would love to see the manager being present and maybe visiting the tables to gather feedback, this is still lacking here. If not I think this place is definitely an above average place to have a meal and relax with friends and family.
I love Plan B. Like, seriously. The folks behind the Big Group conceptualize Plan B and Journal by Plan B. Really kudos to them for the awesome name ;p Was roaming around Republika looking for a place to eat amidst the array of choice. When I saw Journal by Plan B, the choice was made. Verdict: Truffle Terriyaki Beef Don: Couldn't find fault with the beef which was juicy, tender and pan fried with Truffle Oil. The portion of the rice was generous but was too big a portion for me. Halfway through the meal, I wanted some soup. Any soup but Miso Soup would be good. However, the only had Wild Mushroom Soup on their menu. Would be really good if this came in a set meal with Miso Soup; just a suggestion. Baked Chicken Breast: Honestly, the breast meat was overly cooked and was too tough! The sauce was tasty but the tenderness of the meat killed the entire dish. Disappointed. Wild Mushroom Soup: Home cooked mushroom soup with lots of mushrooms! However, the taste was a bit bland. Not complaining though as I am on a healthy streak these days Hence, this review only got 4 stars as I love the coffee here and they do a mean Lemon Meringue Tart. But, the food really left me wondering if they could have done a better job taste wise or was it just an off day for the chef?
I'm not the biggest fan of plan b, but this outlet is definitely the best of the ones I've been to in KL!! Not food wise, because normally it's ok everywhere, but the interior is super vintage ! Moreover , their staff is so helpful!! I really was impressed with such a Great service! Definitely go for their chicken salad !! It's super yummy and not like in other restaurants serving appetizer salads. This meal will definitely fill you tummy and heart : Enjoy!:
A rather different plan b as they have added the name journal to the name plan b, you'll see that their decoration are a bit different too, despite of the lighting is quite gloomy too. They have a row of tvs here always showing the P. Ramlee kind of films pretty interesting and retro eh? And i always find people really watching them tv too. So they really serve more than just decorative purpose. However menu wise this is quite the same as just other plan bs. So you can still expect the same yummy golden butter chicken here. My all time favourite will be their soft shell crab spaghetti, pretty creamy and generous portion, with a dash of spiciness and the aroma of curry leaves. Try their turkish apple tea which was launched during last year's raya day if you're looking for something unique!
If you have been hanging out in publika long enough and exhaust most options this outlet would be a great alternative hang out for you to catch up with your friends. It's more on the quiet side., It's slightly hidden in a far end corner of the building so you would need to know the correct direction to walk to. My friend who was with me was raving about the Blackcurrant longan cake and just so happened they had a few pieces left and oh my god. It is as delicious as it looks. I love the combination of the black currant and Longan so unique! Apparently this cake is always sold out so good luck!
