For dinner I have enjoyed my Rib Eye which was so succulent and juicy which I ordered with a side of crisp vegetables, it came topped with a sprinkle of salt for a flavoursome finish. Desert was a chocolate fondant, so rich in flavour with a scoop of ice cream and strawberries. Staff were very quick to respond to requests and food came at a reasonable speed. I give this restaurant 5 Stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to eat with amazing food. Daughters comments... For dinner I enjoyed a chicken ceaser salad made of refreshing lettuce, ceaser dressing, chicken pieces, bacon and boiled eggs. The staff are very kind and make you feel very welcome and comfortable.
Definately one of the better western/steakhouse restaurant in the Eastern suburb. Booked for group dinning together with children for my wife's birthday and they were very accomodating. I didnt need worry much Tariq and his staff were very professional. Tariq called back to even confirmed the numbers. Serivce was excellent and friendly. Tariq was very attentive, keep checking with us frequently how are we doing. Food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their food. Very generous portions. Kids meal especially the fish and chips is huge. The salt and pepper was excellent. Cauliflower and leek soup was delicious. My lamb backstrap cooked to perfection while salmon was to die for. Awesome. Will be back again. Menu below is Spring Group Menu.
Signature BB Platter is good, black pudding and beef short ribs are delicious. But lamb shank and its sauce is plain. Staffs are friendly.
We arrived at Butchers Bench which is supposed to be a steak house and it looked like an very ordinary Hotel dining room. As it was our anniversary, we ordered a starter which was very nice. The complimentary bread was also very nice. We then ordered the Rib Eye steak and asked for it medium and medium rare. It came well cooked. The pepper sauce tasted like burnt gravy. It came with one tiny chat potato and when you are paying $46 dollars a steak you would expect a few more potatoes. The steak was tasteless and tough. We will definitely not be going back to the Butchers Bench.
Food has improved greatly. The food used to be average, but has now become very delicious. Portions are a bit too large if you want 3 courses. The menu is fantastic at the moment. The staff are also much more friendly than previously and more attentive.
