Avaliação da contribuiçãoAfter reading the reviews of this restaurant, I made a special trip to visit. The atmosphere had a charming cafe feel and the owner was welcoming. The food was decent; the pasta was tasty, but in my opinion, it didn't quite live up to the high praise it had received in other reviews.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, especially their pasta, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable, with pasta dishes costing only 800 yen.
If you're feeling sad about Tosca restaurant closing on Imadegawa dori, don't worry - there's a new casual vegan restaurant and bar in town with music and dance nights and a warm atmosphere. The Gorey Cafe, located just a short walk from Ginkakuji and the northern end of the Philosopher’s Path, is open from 11 AM to 11 PM every day except Mondays. They offer generous portions of vegetarian pasta and curry at very affordable prices. The menu includes seasonal appetizers, a full bar, coffee and tea, and each main dish comes with a small salad. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with fresh and expertly prepared food. The English menu features a variety of pasta dishes, such as soy milk with veggies and coriander green pasta, as well as seaweed pasta, Japanese style, tomato veg and avocado. You can even super size your dish for a small additional fee. The drinks are also reasonably priced.
After reading the reviews of this site, I went out of the way to check it. it has a nice little cafe vibe and the owner was friendly. the food was in order; it was good pasta, but not at the level of the other reviews, imo.
Eating is amazing, epecially her pasta and the staff is very friendly! Moreover, eating is not expensive at all (800 for pasta).
