Manhattan Of La Jolla

Upon our arrival, we were quickly seated at a lovely table in the center of the main dining area. A busser approached us right away to offer water and warm, delicious bread, along with a friendly welcome and some light conversation. Shortly after, our waiter came to share the specials and take our drink orders. The wine was reasonably priced by the glass. We started with a Caesar salad, which was excellent—well-dressed and just the right amount to begin our meal. For our entrees, we had the filet and the cannelloni. The filet was cooked to perfection, medium, and seasoned with olive oil and garlic. It was approximately 8 ounces, and I added mashed potatoes, which were also perfectly seasoned. The cannelloni was topped with a lovely tomato sauce and consisted of two substantial tubes filled with a well-balanced mix of herbs, meat, and spinach. The filling had a nice texture and wasn't too finely processed. Although I’m not normally a dessert person, my dad's sweet tooth led us to order the cheesecake. I make a pretty good cheesecake myself, but this one was incredible. It featured a thick graham cracker crust, super smooth filling, and a delightful raspberry sauce—absolutely delicious. The service throughout our meal was fantastic, especially in comparison to the experiences we had at the other two restaurants. I highly recommend Manhattan's for a wonderful dining experience.

This was our second visit to La Jolla and our second time dining at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed a wonderful, tranquil three-piece band. It was truly a relaxing experience. We will definitely be coming back!

This is an outstanding venue for a special dinner. The service is excellent, and the ambiance is perfect for any occasion. I will definitely be returning!
