La Chaumiere - La Roche-sur-Yon

It was the weekend de Patrimoine, and having decided to go to Le Haras in La Roche, we then wanted to enjoy our day out there by having a good meal. We found this restaurant on the Tripadvisor site, the photos of the dishes looked really good. It should be noted though, that the current owners have only been there since January 2022, so reviews before this date refer to the previous owners. We were 4 adults, and we were all very impressed with the whole experience: the setting, view over woods and a pond, the staff, who were friendly and helpful when we asked questions, and the food, which was excellent. The only problem was the entry it is off a roundabout, and we saw the signpost after we had already taken the wrong turn. Then once in the right road, we didnt know where to turn, as the restaurant is really well hidden. : I would definitely recommend coming here, and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely experience.

Fabulous food and great service made this dining experience beyond wonderful. If I lived here I would go to this restaurant all the time. So very pleased!

Not immediately obvious and you would be forgiven for missing the entrance off a busy roundabout. Once there, it has a charming setting with its own pond , trees and ample parking. The set lunch menu is excellent value, the service is warm and friendly and its deservedly popular so its best to book as for instance, we got the last table when we were there. Lovely food, lovely people.

Indeed, this restaurant was called the cottage; to its change of owner it became the little prince; this establishment has just closed; damage; a post facebook was published by its owner.

Change of owner and name now it is called the little prince. scenery totally change .très cozy warm . welcoming patterns and servers. the same cook. perfect food menus and is very good. I'll go back with pleasure to taste another dish
