Had Chris's special and let me tell you this, get some napkins for this bad boy. Had the full pony, dressed with potato salad. This also comes with chips and a pickle spear. The sandwich itself is quite solid. Chris ' uses real roast beef from a pot roast, not deli meat. The vegetables are all fresh and the bread was pretty good. A little crispy, but not so much that you need a shop-vac when you're done. Honestly, the potato salad hated. A bite and ready. Barg root beer is also available. Chris ' surpassed my expectations and will be added to my Poboy rotation.
This place is behind a gas station, but don't let it be quenched. The bread was very fresh, we saw the delivery. I prefer this kind of bread to the harder French bread, but this is a personal taste. I suggest you give Chris a try when you fix a Poboy.
Okay, but nothing special.. I said I just liked it because I didn't hate it. But it left me unimpressed. It is essentially a glazed sandwich shop in a gas station. The food was okay, but the portions weren't huge, and nothing was so great. It also took a long time before the order was prepared (especially 3 poor guys and pommes)...and as I took him home, it will be pretty fast hanging at a gas station hanging boring. Nothing special. I wish Old Tyme had a shop on this side of the city.
Chris' is the best Poboy place in town, no doubt!!! I love everything about her! Great service. Those waiters over there know how to wait tables! The best in town, I tell you!!!
OK. That's it. Not bad service, but nothin special. Not bad food but nothing special. Did enjoy the gumbo, but the Special wasn't very special. I might just be spoiled by the Darrell's special in my hometown of Lake Charles
