Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis restaurant belongs to the Hotel du Chateau. The hotel and its friendly staff are good and definitely stay there, but the restaurant leaves much to wish. The starter of Foie Gras was fine, but that doesn't require any cooking... skill. The main course of the Steak-Fries was indeed very bad. Steak very hard and was done practically well and not served at all A point as desired. Fries too soft and almost black. Indifferent service. Can't recommend.
While we stay at the Château, we decided to try our own restaurant ... ‘123’ ... What a mistake! We were greeted politely and shown on our table. We ordered our drinks, appetizers and nets. The drinks came fast enough, but the starter, Fois Gras, took... forever. And let's face it, Fois Gras does not take preparation time. And why was it that 4 other tables that all came to us were served well before us? One of these 4 tables even had their appetizers, nets AND ended their deserts while we were waiting for our net! It really annoys me when the restaurants take the ****, so we just got up and flew out. Maybe this cook or waitress doesn't like English or perhaps his because of Brexit? Who knows? But whatever the reason is that there is simply no excuse for such a blatant ignorance! Shame.
We had 2 meals in the restaurant during the stay at the hotel and they were delicious. Service was excellent and the food was really good. Recommended the duck and cod. Try the chocolate soup for pudding.
Uncomfortable seats and limited menu. What we had was well cooked and tasty. Wine list is limited but pleasant.
Stayed in the hotel so eating in the restaurant was an obvious choice. Sadly the food was fairly average.....chewy meat being the biggest complaint. The staff were fabulous....the dining room was fabulous.....the food was average
