Tia Juanitas Fish Camp - Lake Charles

I recently visited Tia Juanitas Fish Camp for the first time, and it was quite an experience. The entrance was charmingly concealed behind a stunning floral door design. The margaritas, crafted quickly by the bar staff, were excellent. The woman responsible for the crab cakes deserves an award for her outstanding creation. Our server, Jessi, was attentive and proactive, ensuring we had everything we needed. I was in the mood for a light calorie entrée, and she recommended the grilled fish, shrimp, and veggies or the fajitas combo. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, and I savored every moment of my visit.

The food was incredible, and the live music was fantastic. We came all the way from Texas and had a great time! We will definitely return. The location is in the downtown area, and we had no trouble finding parking.

My husband and I dropped in as soon as they opened last Tuesday morning and had the fantastic **** Marys. The chips and salsa were very good. We had the crab cakes, one baked and one fried, the baked are delicious. Tanner was our server and he did a fantastic job.

Tip: Be sure to bring cash, as they charge an extra 4% fee for credit card payments. Although they have a notice posted in front of the podium, many people might overlook it. The food was quite good; both my husband and I enjoyed a full po'boy along with a side of gumbo. Their seafood gumbo was incredibly tasty and packed with shrimp. My shrimp po'boy was generously loaded with fresh shrimp as well. It was very busy when we visited, which may explain the service issue, as we received only our change in full dollars and did not get a receipt after paying.

Food was good, my husband and I had a whole Po'boy together with a side of rubber bears. Her seafood gumbo was really delicious and full of shrimp. My shrimp bo'boy was stacked high with shrimps and it really tasted fresh. It was super packed when we went so that this was due, but after we paid, we were not given our receipt, but only our change of full dollar.
