Jack Rabbit - Lake Tekapo

I am so glad I walked 200m further to find Jack Rabbit. The outside smells of amazing freshly cut wood. Inside was chic but not overdone. Selection of slices, scones and quick menu bites (like egg/bacon bap, BLT, etc) as well as a varied and easy breakfast menu. Staff were thoughtful and sweet.

Love their burgers, very good price for the quality. Less impressed with the fries that came with it. I will probably give their tacos a miss the next time I return, the hard shell tacos were not crispy. The strawberry milkshake was OK. Overall still a great place for a stopover. Staff were attentive and great.

Yes, you have to purchase an item before using their bathroom. (Just a heads up! The service is lovely here. The food and drinks are delicious! I'd recommend the eggs benny and add on hashbrowns and bacon. The atmosphere feels great with a bit of a view. I love sitting at the booths.

We enjoyed the scone and salad we ordered. There are a lot of seats and the staff let us charge our phones. Not too expensive given the location.

Enjoyed a delicious big breakfast and oat milk latte. Great value for money, service was incredible, food arrived quick and the lake views were gorgeous. I would definitely visit again if passing through Lake Tekapo. I recommend a short walk to the Good Shepard Church and dog statue after your meal.
