The Railway - Lancing

I always enjoy going to this pub. Great atmosphere, great food! Highly recommend!

This pub is fantastic for grabbing a drink. The owners, Renter and Dame, are wonderful and the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is great.

As someone who lives in Brighton, I have to say that there are many better options available than what is offered in Lancing. This pub feels more like a local spot where everyone knows each other, and it seems to be a popular place to meet up with friends. In terms of pubs in this category, few can compare to the Railway Inn. The staff at the door were friendly and not as pushy as they can be in Brighton, and the prices for drinks and food were quite reasonable. They had delicious homemade pizzas priced at £5 and £8, with the £5 option being plenty for one person. The bar staff were efficient when we visited, and they even had a "Deal or No Deal" event which was surprisingly entertaining. I might have to go back to try my luck at winning the 1p bar tab. The DJ did a good job of keeping the energy up and the crowd engaged. There was some disagreement at closing time, but that seems to be a common occurrence in most places, especially since we were only a minute away from the station. Overall, my support bubble and I had a fun evening at the Railway Inn.

There have been no improvements. The supposed 200,000 pound refurbishment feels more like 20,000 pounds. The prices for drinks are unreasonably high for a rundown pub with no atmosphere. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a rating of 1 out of 10.
