FYI, there is also a seasonal Sidreria (cider house) in Aldatz called the Martitxonea, which is open from mid-January to around 1 May. The posada is a large old traditional farmhouse (caserio) with thick stone walls, heavy oak beams, and original dark wooden floorboards. I believe they rent rooms upstairs, but be sure to check availability. The farmhouse is located in the outskirts of the small town of Aldatz which is surrounded by trees, farm fields and sheep. And in the winter, there is a wonderful fireplace. Ideal! I believe the posada only serves food on weekends and I believe it is usually busy. You can choose a la carte or simply have the menu, which costs under €20. Lots of traditional, local foods, including red beans, served in abundance. A good number of dishes to choose from. Owners are very accommodating and very friendly. During the cider season, many folks stop by here after visiting the Martitxonea cider house as the Martitxonea does not serve coffee or drinks. It is only 100m away, an easy walk. Children friendly town and restaurant. Children can play in the street, etc., as there is minimal traffic. Be sure to stop by! You won't be disappointed. Inexpensive and excellent food in abundance.

Cuando terminamos la visita en bikain, nos recomendaron este lugar para comer. Aunque al principio parecía cerrado, golpeamos la puerta y abrimos. La gente de la casa estaba comiendo y no parecía tener un interés especial en recibir muchos clientes ese día, pero nos trataron muy bien. comida casera, muy buena, a precios asequibles, en un ambiente tranquilo y agradable.
