Avaliação da contribuiçãoFood/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 we ordered the premium pork combo with galbi pork and beef brisket bean soup. The meats were nice quality and cooked to perfection. They had the nice crispy outside without being over cooked nor chewy. The galbi pork practically melted in your mouth. The steamed egg was delicious and seasoned well. Not too salty but had just enough for you to keep reaching for the next bite. The soup was a little bit salty but went perfectly with the rice. They arewilling to refill sides if you ask so we did get a refill on the radish paper which helps cut through some of the fatiness in the meat. Ambience: 5/5 very clean and feels nice overall. For a BBQ place, it didn't feel smokey atall Service: 5/5 George was our cook and he was great! He cooked everything to perfection and matched our eating pace so we weren't overwhelmed nor just waiting for the next dish Value for price: 5/5 bit pricer than some of the AYCEthat you can find in Chinatown. However, definitely worth it for the quality and you will still be full
Food 4/5 Service 3/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Cost: Good Food was good and majority of the staff were professional except one person who seemed to be a lead/ manager. She first did not welcome us and looked like she did not want to work that day and secondly, she bumped into me as I was waiting for them to set up the table but just ignored it and went on her way. No joke, I wanted to leave right away but my family wanted to stay. Good thing I stayed since the food and the rest of thestaff made it up.
**Meat Selection and Culinary Excellence:** Yukga offers an impressive variety of meats to please different tastes, including beef brisket, pork belly, and chicken. Each cut is of high quality, and the interactive grilling aspect of Korean BBQ truly enhances the flavors. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, guiding diners through the grilling process to ensure that every bite is delectable. **Atmosphere:** The ambiance at Yukga is a sensory delight, transporting diners to the vibrant streets of Seoul. The restaurant features traditional Korean decor, and the sounds of sizzling meat accompanied by the mouthwatering aroma of barbecue create an inviting atmosphere. The warm lighting and comfortable, spacious seating make it an ideal place to gather with friends and family. **Sides: A Minor Shortcoming:** While Yukga excels in many areas, the sides don't quite meet the same high standards. Though they aren't terrible, they don't match the excellence found in the meat offerings. For instance, the kimchi could benefit from a bit more fermentation, and the pickled vegetables lack the zesty punch present in other Korean BBQ restaurants. The egg and tofu soup could also use some enhancement, as it's somewhat bland and under-seasoned. However, these shortcomings are manageable and offer room for improvement. **Fair Evaluation:** It's important to appreciate Yukga's strengths while recognizing the areas that could be improved upon. The 4-star rating reflects a generally positive dining experience, with commendable elements, though the enthusiasm is somewhat tempered by the deficiencies in the side dishes. **Conclusion:** Yukga Korean BBQ provides a delightful experience that will please meat lovers and those looking for an authentic Korean BBQ outing. The meat selection is outstanding, culinary execution is excellent, and the atmosphere is welcoming. While the sides could use some work, they do not detract significantly from the overall positive impression. If you're in search of a reliable Korean BBQ spot, Yukga is certainly worth a visit.
We stopped by for lunch and opted for the BBQ selection, featuring brisket, steak, and octopus. I wish I had asked the staff for advice on how to prepare the octopus, as they were small and not pre-cut, so I ended up having to chop them into pieces and roast them for quite a while. The kimchi pancakes were amazing—definitely a must-try!
Simon is an AWFUL manager. He attempted to trick us into ordering the pricier all-you-can-eat option because we knew someone at another table. He insisted that we were part of the "same party" and had to choose the most expensive items. We arrived an hour later and sat on the opposite side of the room. I highly advise against dining at this restaurant. They will try to deceive you!
