Café des Artisans - Lausanne

The small menu allows for effort in the kitchen and that is very appreciated. Never been disappointed : the quantity of meat (tab is limited, the gourmet coffee is a little light compared to other restaurants.

A December shopping tour of Lausanne needed a friendly lunch break. Too cold for the cafe's pavement tables and the plain exterior hides the very welcoming staff, layout, decor and menu. Table was available and turnover is frequent but not rushed. Several vege/ healthy options as well as Autumn game specials. Artisan beers, wine by carafe or glass.

Second time there. Super pleasant service with SMILE! Menu is interesting and what they promise boy do they deliver. Portions are rich, great flavors, Plenty of natural. It’s an unassuming place when you see it but worth the try. Also for some they were amongst the first in Lausanne to remove plastic straws. Fully committed. I tasted the plates “stealing”’from my wife so great exposure to different items. The daily’s special... I almost reordered. Go there enjoy the relaxed ambiance and their great food with a Smile and flowers on the table. Desert was amazing too

For aperitifs on the terrace, just great. Small sausage cheese board or other excellent little things. Attentive and smiling staff
