I love this Taco Mayo at 38th st for years. Best quality compared to other fast food Taco restaurants in town, but lately the slow service has become a plague for your establishment. For example with only a few cars in front of me I was in line for over 30 minutes waiting at the drive through! It was such a long wait that cars behind me were leaving. There was plenty of workers inside. Even enough for someone to step out to take a smoke break. You people are going to drive away business if you are taking away the fast in fast food. Go ahead if you think you can afford it, but I am personally going to pass for a few months and see what happens. Gasoline at 4 bucks a gallon being burned off sitting and waiting for your service is too much as well. I give your establishment a lot of business, too bad you are driving off some of that with poor service.
Usually I look forward to coming up from Texas and eating taco Mayo(wish we had them in Dallas) but this location was not good two different times in a row . The location on 38th Street However.. The location on gore by the casino is always very good can't say enough really.
Spent almost an hour here. 3 of us ordered a burrito supreme combo, 4 crunchy tacos and chips with salsa after waiting to order for about 12 minutes. Sat down and looked at receipt and realized the cashier forgot to ring up two of the four tacos. So took way too long to order then waited forever for food to come out. It wasn 't very crowded either. It was a Sunday. The taco meat was just weird. Not much flavor and had the texture of ground turkey not beef. The salsa wasn 't awful but kinda bland. I like a spicier salsa. The super burrito was anything but super(see pics). The two shining stars were the crunchy taco shells and the tater tots. I don 't really associate tots with mexican cuisine but they were delicious. The prices were also great. Very inexpensive. If you 're tired of taco bell or only have a couple bucks in your pocket try this place. I like to give every restaurant at least two tries before rendering a final verdict so I 'll post after my second visit which probably won 't be anytime soon.
I really love Taco Mayo and could definitely go for some right now. The 5 for $1.25 deal is fantastic! It's my favorite spot to get a Tostada.
