Fatz Cafe - Lenoir

It's okay. Some of the food is good but they can't keep employees so the food will most of the time be under cooked or over cooked not seasoning or over seasoned. Truly a 50/50 for the prices, I do not recommend unless your going for the unlimited ribs and then you risk a chance of food poisoning. I've gone here many years after it changing management several times still the same results truly disappointing.

Seated right away and had two lovely ladies Chrystal and Hope who waited on me and my family at a great pace. Manager on duty was Kristin and she checked in on our table multiple times and had a great attitude! Appetizers came out great and tasted great. Food was hot and delicious. Drinks stayed refilled and had a overall great experience!

I ordered a Double Mac Daddy Burger and my wife ordered the Calabash chicken tenders. I got the wrong burger, receiving a regular double cheeseburger. My fries were hot but my wife's fries were room temp so I gave her mine. I also ordered a side of grits but they were so salty that they were inedible. Gave it two stars because the burger was okay, even though it was wrong. Our table was so sticky that my phone literally stuck to it. This place used to be great but ever since Covid hit, they never seemed to recover.

The restaurant was nice and clean. No one was at the front to seat us or welcome us. Waited over 5 minutes to be greeted. Then was seated. Waited a bit. Waitress was very nice just spread to thin. Got drinks and bread. Then the wait began..... food was not that great. Fries where warm at best. Smallest sweet potato I have ever had. Lunch there took over 2hrs. We have never been to a Fatz, was really looking forward to trying them. Food was not that good and the time it took was crazy. Only half the tables where taken.....

I want to emphasize that I've never considered myself a difficult customer, but the bartender’s attitude was off-putting. I even sought her out to express my appreciation for her service, but to no avail. As a former waitress and bartender, I usually have a high tolerance for service issues, but this experience was disappointing. I urge you not to waste your time at Fatz in Lenoir. It’s worth the drive to Morganton or anywhere else. I assure you that the staff at other establishments will be more dedicated to their work and deserve your support. Ultimately, as a former server, I always tip generously, but I won’t be going back here again.
