Avaliação da contribuiçãoI 'm usually dissapointed by restaurants which advertise themselves as foodie , gastro or something pretentious like that. Not this time. It was every bit as good as the high expectations they set for themselves. We arrived on a calm tuesday night, and the owner himself welcomed us and oversaw the service. The menu was surprisingly short and the names of the dishes were very clear and simple -making ordering a breeze, which very welcome-, with a few exotic touches here and there to pique one 's interest. We ordered a couple of cocktails, which were original and well prepared. The appetizers arrived quickly and were, frankly, spectacular. Simple in appearance but extremely flavorful, my favorite thing of the night was this salmon sashimi-like thing with chili sauce and a few sesame seeds, which was just heavenly. Pairing raw fish with spicy sauce is a delicate balancing act which they pulled off nicely. The soups and main courses we tried were extremely good too. The technique displayed when preparing the everything was great, but especially the pork and sauces: just the right searing, extremely tender meat that just melted away but was somehow cut at crisp right angles all around, chilis were roasted to the exact correct point, enough processing to make sauces smooth but leaving enough texture, not too much sauce nor too little on the plates, great presentation all around. Dessert was great too. We left very happy and satisfied, and vowed to bring more people here. We have a new favorite restaurant in León.
We are so glad we found this place while on our business trip. The owners and staff are super friendly and creative. The classy whimsical decor pairs great with Maria Luisa’s fantastic foodie-wonderland menu. Top it off with an exotic craft cocktail in their quaint bar for an unforgettable experience in León!
