Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe burgers were actually like some others wrote. Hans n Glück has something, the best burger in town. At least this restaurant can try to take one leaf or two of them. Anyway, I'll go back here as it's 500m Fromy House
This was our first time we tried the Metropolitan Diner. Your menu items around what you would find with US diners – burgers, chicken, etc. The place was nice inside and the waiting staff was pretty decent. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. My friends had the burgers and said they tasted funny, so basically they stopped eating after 3-4 bites. I had the pulled pork baked potato (which I had before in a bbq place). My food was only warm, which should not be a problem because the restaurant was quite empty. In addition, they were used to support it with foil. Usually this would not be a problem (I get the idea), but with acid cream, pulled pork and Bbq sauce above, it was not easy to pull out the film. Well, I always have small pieces of slide in my fork full. Yuk! Unfortunately, the food hurt my stomach – not good! At the end, food was simply not so good – just a rarity in Germany. I definitely wouldn't go back and I don't recommend trying.
Ten days ago I was on a business trip in Germany and at that time had lunch in a restaurant Metropolitan. Nice atmosphere. The food was excellent! The best burgers I cost. All my recommendations!
Last weekend we went to visit friends who thought since we were American it would be fun to take us to an "American Diner". There were 5 of us in the party the server came quickly and took our order so things started out good. However, when the food came it did not come all at once but plate by plate with a large amount of time in between. Then the steaks came out with pesto on it when there is no pesto mentioned on the menu. Needeless to say we all did not eat at the same time which was dissapointing to say the least. The steaks are cut thin almost like a minute steak not an American cut. The Burgers are large and the buns fresh and delish. The baked potatoes are huge. To be honest it was ok, not sure I would be back.
We were excited to try out the new restaurant in the new movie theater complex. I have made a reservation online - filling out the form on the restaurant's website - but never heard back from them. Luckily, there were still free tables when we (2 couples) showed up.FOODThe (Mushroom) salad dressing was incredibly salty. Only butter came with the steak (Rumpsteak) but no coleslaw & barbecue sauce (even though it was written so on the menu). The (Yakuza) burger bun was twice the size of the patty. SERVICEUpon our arrival (Friday evening, around 6:30pm) we asked if it was possible that they turn down the music a little (charts pouring out of the stereo so that we had to shout over the table) and the answer was "no, because it's Friday night". No "I am sorry, let me ask the manager". Our waitress asked "was noch" (what else) as opposed to something similar to "can I get you something else".One main dish came. Then 3 drinks came. Then 3 main dishes came. Then 1 more drink came.VERDICTCertainly a popular place, well staffed, so we did not need to wait long for our food. However, it looks like they are clearly interested to serve you as quickly as possible so that you leave as quickly as possible. No efforts are made to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Just a fast food restaurant in a slightly upped setting.Ideal for a meal before the move due to it's proximity, but nothing else. New time we will be trying out the other restaurant within the movie theater complex. For good burgers and cocktails we will always prefer Hemingways Diner (Hemmingen).
