Swartehond - Leuven

Lovely cafe in a calm and family-friendly area of Leuven. I love cafè like this one where 1) the beverages are well done 2) it is cozy, well-decorated meaning it has both character and comfort. We rested in their lovely living room situation waiting until closing time. The staff was very friendly.

I don 't understand why this is top rated. We ordered a 'long ' black and a chocolate milk with cheesecake. The cheesecake was good but the long black looked and tasted like motor oil. It was also served in a glass that was not suitable and too hot to hold. See attachment. The chocolate milk was also very unconcentrated. And to top it off, we paid more than 13 euro for this. Not recommended

Best place to drink coffee in Leuven. Really cozy and with tables in a nice square. They also serve fredo espresso a greek cold alteration of espresso. The bagels are also tasty

Carrot cake was great but terribly slow staff we waited for over 25 minutes for just two coffees and one piece of cake.

Lovely place, delicious coffees and bagels cakes too sweet for my liking. A bit pricey but nice atmosphere, good for working as well, nice games available and brilliant literature for kids. Staff very helpful and friendly.
