Catford Chippy - Lewisham

It is truly disappointing when a fish is fried and served wrapped in its skin without it being removed first. The excitement of unwrapping the package to reveal the inner contents quickly turns to frustration when I have to pick out pieces of skin. Grrr, etc.

We will definitely be returning to Catford Chippy! Voted the best fish in town, I brought five guests with me last night to try it out. To our delight, the fish was fresh and cooked to order. The chips looked like they were freshly cut, not pre-packaged. The staff was friendly and even gave us some free pickles. My guests, who have plenty of experience with fish and chips in Devon, said it was the best they had ever tasted. The food was fantastic - fresh, hot, and delicious. The combination of great food and amazing staff at Catford Chippy earns it a high recommendation.

It is really disappointing when a fried fish is served with the skin still on. The excitement of unwrapping the crispy exterior is quickly replaced with irritation when you have to pick off the skin in the middle. Frustrating, to say the least.
