Tasty Grill - Lewisham

As you will be able to see from my last review of this establishment it was 5 star and i would call myself a loyal customer. That was until this week when I received donner meat that was cold, chips that were warm and soggy. The only thing that seemed fresh was the garlic bread which was very nice. I ordered through Uber eats but called the restaurant and was told “you can trust me, it was hot when it left here” that really isn’t acceptable as I am the customer expecting it hot when I receive it. I was told that he doesn’t have his regular driver so it’s Uber’s fault and I need to contact Uber or I can go and collect fresh food. I don’t live close hence why I ordered delivery. 2 days later and Uber refuse to refund! So I paid for food that I couldn’t eat. I am not about scraping off salad and warming up food in the microwave. Stay away from here if you want any sort of reasonable resolution to a problem. I don’t care it was cold as mistakes can happen, I care about how a simple problem wasn’t able to be resolved.

This place does the most amazing kebabs. I also highly recommend the garlic mushroom bread. Service is always great. Only ever ordered delivery.

I have frequented this kebab shop many times over the years, as it is located close to where I live. However, I felt compelled to write this review after my most recent visit. I have consistently enjoyed the doner shish orders here, as the quality of the meat is excellent. Unfortunately, whenever I have ordered chips with my meal, they have been subpar, sometimes appearing to be refried. In my opinion, the biggest drawback of this kebab shop is the attitudes of the owner and some of the staff. It is apparent that this is a family-run business, with family members coming in and out throughout the day, which I have no issue with. However, the owner and a few regular staff members are consistently unfriendly and at times give off odd vibes. It seems that they may be lacking in basic customer service skills or simply do not hold much regard for their average customer.

Lamb kebabs are excellent and kids enjoyed their burger meals. Would not recommend the chicken kebab though. Order took 2 hours to arrive and staff on the phone were rude and hanged up on me. Kebabs and burgers were lukewarm and fries were cold. Needless to say, that was my last order. Would not order from them again

I was staying with some friends who had ordered from this restaurant before. We decided to try the family meal deal with extra chips. I enjoyed the way the food was presented, allowing us to create our own plates. The food was delicious, generous in portion size, and left us feeling satisfied, especially with the tasty chilli sauce.
