Bayou Market - Lewisville

Some of my friends told me about this place. Told me it is good. So I went to go try it. Wow. The food is amazing. You can smell the spices. I found me a great place for real home cook Cajun food.

Had the lunch special today. Chicken and sausage gumbo sides was boudin balls and dirty rice. It has been a while since I have been here. I always get crawfish and shrimp po boy. Wanted to try sumthing different. All I can say is no complaints here. Keep up the great work' Baby'

I usually just buy live crawfish from here to make at home. Reasonably price most of the time, being across the boarder from LA. They usually have a lot in stock and will reserve sacks for you. Hard to find in these parts. Especially when you have a large boil for other people and need to be sure you have some fresh available. I've been to other places in the DFW and even ordered some over night. This place is the next best thing to being in the boot and having access to live crawfish.

From living in Louisiana through college years, this is the only place I've found in DFW that truly cooks their crawfish Louisiana style. Best Cajun food in DFW
