Joe's - Ligonier

This place is a DIVE and it’s cash only, BUT if you’re looking for quirky this is your place. At the front, it looks like your average smoking bar. Walk toward the back and go up the spiral staircase, however, and you will find the most random collection of African safari animals you never expected to find. Not good for families, kids, or the easily affronted. But it’s truly a cool random gem in the middle of an otherwise predictable town.

If you are looking for a good bar, with drinks priced right, paired with the experience of visiting the national history museum. This is your place!! (Smoking bar, fair warning.

A constant and reliable dive which should end up behind glass in a museum one day in the future.

Great little dive bar and the heart of Ligonier. Upstairs they have what could best be described as a museum of taxidermy. Unbelievable the amount on display. Obviously this will not appeal to many. On that note, Joe's is also still smoking. So that is something to keep in mind. It is also cash only. Regardless, I think this place is worth checking out if you happen to be in the area. Dive bar but with a cool feature in the back of the bar. It's a must to check out. Taxidermy animals everywhere. Second floor above the bar has even more animals.
