Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis food is boring and overpriced for what it is. I went to this restaurant because of the reviews, but I honestly think the reviews are all fake. I bought my own bottle of wine and they let me change tables to the back corner of the restaurant to drink it. They gave me a coffee cup to drink the wine and didn't let me have the bottle at the table, they kept it in the kitchen. Needless to say I ate and ran (over the rest of the bottle with me).
My wife and I went to the pre-concert after reading the reviews. That's the worst Arab food I've ever tasted. Some really basic things that every restaurant that claims to serve Middle Eastern food should be able to deliver, but this cannot. Bad humus, bad baba ganoush and the worst tabule ever. The tabule didn't even have parsley in it, it was an under seasoned cucumber, tomatoes and pearl barley salad. Everything was underscored. You don't have a kebab and the chicken that they've served me wrapped in a pitta was really bad. We had the Veggie Sharing Plate, the Aubergine and the Paprika were fine, the leaves of wine and the Falafel were poor. They also have no license for alcohol, they have served us our wine from tea cups. Even if I removed the fact that I was in the Middle East, real authentic things have often eaten, this was a bad experience. I make a lot better food than that in my own kitchen. Anyone who has given this a good review knows nothing about good food. The service was ok, although I wouldn't say it was amazing or friendly. Seriously not here.
Do you need authentic local delicacies in Perú? This place is the best. The food here is great. Fresh and super delicious. Nadar, the owner and the stuff were very friendly and attentive. Very recommended!
In a city where good Middle Eastern food is hard to come by, this is a decent place for such cuisine. Yet, leaving the dark, narrow, hole-in-the-wall ambience aside, I thought the quality of my vegetarian combo platter not really better than mediocre. And, given the frugal portion and an allotment of a single piece of pita bread at the price of 30 soles (the meal coming to about $10 with a drink), not a great value in an area where you can get a better-quality and heartier meal for the same price, or perhaps a buck or two more (and also enjoy it in more pleasant surroundings). In general, as regards Middle Eastern food, I 'd have to say that any American used to high-quality Middle Eastern food had better brace himself for a shock if he orders such cuisine in countries like Ecuador, Colombia, or Peru. In other words, by the local standards of Arab cuisine, Azahar can be considered good. but by the American standards of such cuisine in modest to medium-end establishments, it really does not pass muster.
Amazing and authentic food. You have to go many times since EVERYTHING is good. The decor is quite cool, it translates you into a beautiful restaurant in the middle east and the service is also good. You can order and they can even arrange large quantities for events.
