The fact that I can't give it 5 stars makes me dislike Happy Cow and whatever shallow minds are behind it to come up with such a pretentious rule. I mean Vegetarian can get 5 stars for serving animal products but an amazing place like Twins can't get 5 stars for serving animal products??? See how dumb you are Happy Cow! Twins makes amazing Vegan food and stocks a variety of non dairy milks. I once ordered the vegan burger but they made sure to inform me that they are out of Vegan bread rather than just serve me some other bun. The fact that they sold out of Vegan bread that day is a testament to how awesome they are. The pizza with eggplant was the best Vegan pizza I have ever had Good job Twins. Screw you Happy Cow for you dumbass 5 star rule.
Travelling with a friend who must avoid gluten this was a good option for both of us. I chose the eggplant pizza (18 soles 3 soles extra for vegan cheese). It was tasty enough. Nice chai. We ordered a slice of cake with icecream too. The icecream was lovely, the cake was fine but a bit tough/dry at the edge. Not sure if that was due to being gf or a little old. All items are clearly labelled if vegan. Based on my experience I probably wouldn't go back except with a gf friend.
There aren't many vegan options, and the day I went they were out of the vegan cheese. That said, I got the veggie burger and my friend got the pizza option. We both really enjoyed out meal! I wish the veggie burger a bigger side salad for the price, but I are starving and so frustrated that things closed early (vegan restaurants in the area) on NYE (around 4pm) even though they said they were open. The woman was sweet and accomodating. Thank you for pacifying my hunger beast within!
I was very excited to try this restaurant after communicating my allergies throughout our vacation. But my disappointment came with the staff and the entire service. They didn't care to take the time with us, and quickly took our order that came completely wrong. I'm really never one to write bad reviews, but that was something I don't want others to get their hopes on like me. We ordered a cheese sandwich and a pizza, but we got two pizzas. It was rather frustrating and would rather have our time and our money somewhere else, but spent here. The pizza was fine and I can't tell you how the sandwiches were like ours never showed up.
My husband and I went for coffee and dessert, becasue I'm gluten intolerant he usually gets dessert while I just have coffee. My torta slice of chocolate cake was moist and tasty. His keke a slice of carrot loaf was dry. Although I know gluten free items are more expensive than regular ones the cost was more than twice as much (36 soles) as what we usually pay when I don't have anything. (15 soles). The only dfference was my slice of torta and that his keke was also gluten free,
