The difference between a good restaurant that's busy and a bad restaurant that's busy is there ability to communicate with the patrons. We were told it would be a 30-minute wait for seating...of course not. Nevertheless, we finally got seated and you don't give a bad review to a busy restaurant unless you are ignored. Don't blame your server, unless you are ignored. Blame the ccoks, but understand they are busy and moving as fast as they can. So don't destroy a busy restaurant with a bad review unless the manager is dismissive. Our manager who came to our rescue from a would be horrible experience was great! He affirmed and reaffirmed our presence and he filled in the gaps for what we were lacking. A good restaurant is a team effort but an outstanding manager who is aware of the state of his or her store, staff and the community they serve makes a restaurant GREAT!!
Do not order curb side or call in your order! The first time I was ordering for a sick friend. I put in the order online and gave them more than enough time to get it ready. When I got there, I had to tell 4 different people my name and after an hour, I finally received my order. Today, my husband called in the order, gave them over an hour to get it ready and when we got there, we were told it wasn 't ready. Then a lady came out and told us we were at the wrong cracker barrel. We showed her proof we were at the right one, then was told 10 more minutes. Another hour passes with a guy telling me we needed to move our truck because he has a system that works. Then this same man proceeded to sit in a family reunion chair eating biscuits outside by the curbside parking side. Who is the system working for because it 's surely not the poor people in curbside or the call ins! Two hours 30 minutes later no food! My husband got a refund. No one cared enough to check or see what even happened to our food, not even the employee who had finished his biscuits. Wasn 't offered even a drink or an apology. My husband came back to the truck empty handed and we are upset over the time we wasted and the food we didn 't get. Still hungry! Not worth it!
The food was good. My waitress was a nightmare. She asked me one time if I needed anything. She never gave me a refill on my tea. When I finally was able to get her attention to ask for a to go box and my check she gave me my check right then and asked if I would like a tea to go I said yes. There was a large party of people behind me and she was more interested in them than me. She walked pass me at least 6 times maybe more to serve them. After about 25 minutes she finally brought my box and no tea to go. If I ever go back here I will not sit in the section she is serving.
Definitely not my favorite Cracker Barrel. The staff here were dismissive and bordering in rude. Now we're they like thus because it was a busy Saturday morning, or are they always so snippy?
