Avaliação da contribuiçãoGreat Empanadas! I tried both beef and chicken and they did not disappoint. They are both stuffed with delicious filling; seasoned nicely. The chicken empanada does have a good amount of potato in it but I thought it added a different texture to it in a positive way. The soft potato with chicken work perfectly inside of the crunchy empanadas. Only downside is that they are a tad bit on the pricier side for the size of them. I paid almost $13.00 for two empanadas. Unfortunately for my wallet, the empanadas will get me to go back for more. I look forward to seeing them again at Foodie Crew events.
Tried the empanadas for the 1st time at the Livermore Farmers Market on 2nd St. The Hawaiian with the crushed pineapple sauce on the size was just amazing. The skin was fluffy, light, and crispy. Nice about of cheese and thinly sliced ham.Loved it!Wish I ordered more than 1...Not pics this time as it started to rain and already close to closing so I ate it really fast. Next time...
This truck parked in front of shadow puppet brewery. My boyfriend ordered the cheese, beef, chicken, Hawaiian empanada, and the salchipapas with sausage , cheese, quail egg, and pink homemade sauce. Out of all of them the one that had the most flavor was the beef... or their salsa. For some reason the chicken was mostly full of potato 's so you could barely taste the flavors of the chicken. (I.E. not even sure how the chicken was seasoned or what was used to season it because the potato 's were bland and overwhelming. My expectations from the Hawaiian empanadas were that the filling would have been evenly distributed however, all I tasted was cheese and one piece of pineapple. Later on, I found the ham but after numerous bites. There was 2 empanadas that we had were SUPER hard. Like an old person can loose their teeth off of... I 've had plenty of empanadas before and they were never like this.. The one saving grace of this place was their salsa. It has a great balance of flavor, acidity, and heat. The salchipapas said it has sausage but it tasted like hot dog. The most items that was on here was the fries and cheese.
This is a local food truck and always anxious to try it and they were at livermore farmers mkt so I had my chance. Went with the basic beef empanada for a 1st time try and it was good, sauces were great they have a huge menu so looking forward to trying more items
Was really craving arepa (I'm originally from Venezuela) so I was super excited to try this food truck! They were at the farmers market in Livermore on Sunday so I was able to try it. I ordered the crazy arepa Which has fried lechon (cross between bacon and chicharron), shredded beef, shredded chicken, cheese, and topped with avocado and 3 little sauces on the side. With tax this cost over $17.Arepa is considered a street food in Venezuelan so this was really pricey for a sandwich. It was also very stuffed and came in a small box so kinda hard to eat because you can't really pick it up like you are supposed to. Being that there was almost no place to sit it made eating it super challenging. All in all I would try this place again but I might stick to one of the more standard arepas that can be held.
