Avaliação da contribuiçãoA very dark restaurant, could only read the menu with the use of my phone torch. Service was slow, and my meal, Breton fish stew was the most tasteful meal I’ve had in a very long time, certainly not worth £17! Had to chase for cutlery and the potatoes. Wouldn’t go back.
Friendly welcome from staff. However, time taken for food to come out after order being taken was very long. Thankfully we were not in a hurry. Food was okay, husband's lamb was overdone despite the server making sure he wanted it medium when taking order, it certainly was not. We didn't complain as we were just so glad to receive our food. It's a shame that the kitchen let the front of house down as it was a nice atmosphere.
The food was lovely however our experience wasn 't great.. After trailing around Liverpool this morning looking for somewhere to brunch we stumbled across cote which looked lovely so we headed in. This was around 11.30am We were greeted by a woman who quite clearly didn 't want to be there saying I 'll be with you in a minute while proceeding to stand there chatting to her colleagues. The weather was quite mild so we asked if we could be seated outside. We were shown to a table outside by a different lady and handed menus. We decided what to eat and waited for someone to come and take our order. 15 mins later another lady came out with a coffee for a man behind us. We grabbed her attention and asked if we could order. 'you can but not with me, I 'll grab someone for you '. Another 5 mins later a man came over to take our order of eggs Benedict, eggs royale and 2 coffees. He came straight out with knifes and forks and said I 'll just grab your coffees. Another 10 mins later he brings our coffees out. We sit chatting for a while and finish our coffees then the man who took our order came out at 1230 to inform us there is no salmon for the eggs royal. My friend opted for the eggs Benedict instead. At this point we thaught we would have had and eaten our food and left by now but sadly not..we ordered a 2nd drink which actually came out quite promptly! I notice at this point another couple being seated in the window. 12.50 we are starting to get impatient now and the couple in the window have just finished eating. My friend heads in to see what the hold up is. Another man who had not long arrived came out to see what our order was and informs us that they don 't know what 's happened to the order and he was getting the chef to make it straight away, he was very apologetic and said that the food was on them. 2 mins later after being there an hour and a half our food is on the table. It was delicious and worth the wait to be honest. I went in to pay for our drinks so we could finally leave but was told it was all on them, which was a very kind gesture which we really appreciated. I do think the staff need some training in customer service and obviously the ordering system needs to be altered so orders can 't just go missing. I don 't understand how a table sat waiting for over an hour can go un noticed or how an order can just go missing. Food fantastic. Staff not so.
My partner and I came for our anniversary meal and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was lovely and very tasty and the crème brûlée was my favourite. We were served by Vanessa who was absolutely fantastic and attentive throughout the meal. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We attended today with our Aunt Kate for a treat on her birthday. The staff were exceptional. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was excellent.i had the chicken gratin, I had espresso martini and for desert the apple tatin to share, it was the most amazing desert with simple ingredients which tasted devine. We made special memories with our Aunt and thank the staff for making it extra special. We booked for Christmas it was so good.
