Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe had a wonderful time at the restaurant before heading to the theater. The service was excellent throughout the meal.
I haven't been to La Tasca in a few years, but I found that it has become more expensive for what it is - essentially just a tapas bar. However, the staff were helpful.
We have been going to La Tascas for many years with friends and family in Liverpool and loved the style of food, service was always very good, and atmosphere was very authentic. We have not been for some time and we where very disappointed with it on Saturday and will certainly not be returning again. They have changed the whole restaurant (which I know businesses have to do) but first of all we could not physically hear each other to talk to, even the staff where finding it very difficult to hear us when ordering! The sound in there was unbelievable!. The drinks waiter came and I asked if they had a Merlot red wine, which he said they didn't do, so I asked a similar recommend ? Another waitress brought me a glass of WHITE wine which I said was not what I ordered as I don't drink white, she said it was what I ordered from the other waiter, I explained I asked for red, they took it away and returned 5 mins later with a glass of red, which had wine spilt all over glass, they seemed annoyed that I didn't want the white! We ordered breads to start which was just crusty bread toasted! Then another waiter came to us with more breads we said we had had ours, he then went to 2 other tables before it was given to the correct table! we always had small dishes of vegetable paella or seafood, but now you can only order a large dish double the price, so the tapas idea is non existent really for paella now! We had squid which was so deep fried and no taste whatsoever in the batter, no seasoning etc. the spices where very strong in the Albongidas, and Potato Bravas, which my husband always has and he couldn't physically eat it. I had a dish of Lemon Thyme chicken with asparagus, the asparagus was lovely, the chicken just tasted like a breast of fried chicken, and the potatoes that accompanied (sauteed) where like a plate of chip shop potato ends deep fried. We are not people who complain but just decided never to return again to La Tascas. Hugely disapppointed!!!
Would not recommend..understaffed, no atmosphere, nearly 1hr to be served..
Had to choose from the a la carte menu as i used tesco vouchers. Never tried Spanish cuisine before and it was delicious! Definitely recommend! All day two for one cocktails a bonus.
