The entire setting is very peaceful and romantic. The restaurant is a covered terrace on the side of a beautiful old mansion. The food was good, a bit on the gourmet side. Traditional Spanish fare is upscaled (if I can use that word). The result is very nice. However, if searching for traditional local cuisine the result could disappoint. Prices are a bit higher than other prices we have been to. But this is, after all “fine dining”. Service is spectacular. For a special evening, especially if looking for a romantic evening, I highly recommend Son Julia.
This restaurant is in the 5* hotel of the same name , the outdoor setting is very pleasant . The Saturday evening we ate here they had a young lady singer performing who to be honest couldn’t really sing but she was very confident and just ploughed on . The food is nice but not outstanding, burrata with tomatoes was nice and fresh , but both our mains , turbot and lamb were a little dry , the wine we feel was a little expensive. Do not be put off because it is fine just not great .
We booked dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our friends birthday, we had hoped to have pre-dinner drinks on the terrace in the sun, but it was closed (but we did not know and no explanation was given). We were quite disappointed as it was quite windy at the back where the tables were set up and we could not see the sun go down. As we were staying at the Marriott Hotel complex we were given a 'Welcome glass ' of Cava, which was a nice touch. We booked this restaurant as we wanted to see the sun go down on the terrace (my friend had been before
Well worth a visit food was fine dining without being too stuffy in an outdoor setting. Intimate atmosphere with really attentive staff. Lots of families too so suitable for kids.
What a lovely place away from the mad crowd!! Food was good, however the new potatoes were uncooked on the point of being raw,and the wine waiter went missing after we ordered the wine,so at one stage we had to ask the waitress to pour the wine. This is unacceptable in a restaurant of this standing. The starters were excellent and very filling. Disappointed that no roof fans ...so exceedingly warm A very lovely evening more due to the surroundings and friends
