Avaliação da contribuiçãoVery good Italian restaurant. Particularly the ravioli Gorgonzola pear and walnut and the linguine al polpo. However one of us took the lazagna al bolognese which were not tasty at all. Deserts were excellent. Service is also a little slow.
Haven’t been to this place for years. Now I’m asking myself why? The food is superb. As is the service. We had a huge selection of cold meats and cheeses. Never got as far as the pasta dishes, but we could see them on other tables, and they looked excellent. My new favourite place. So good.
Staying in a hotel nearby, I was looking for something tasty but not too far for me to walk. Food is superb, I had 2 courses and tried some dishes I'd never tried before. Staff are really attentive and I didn't feel uncomfortable as a female solo diner.
Located close to Edgware Rd you pass through a delicatessen to a room then another room and so on. This place is like a tradis. Our visit on a December Thursday found a packed dining room with a mix of groups and couples. One look at the wine list will tell you this place is a serious restaurant and as for the food everything we ate was very good. We started with a bruschetta and plate of meat followed by lasagne and baked sea bass with potatoes. We had a reasonable bottle of red at £40 (this was at the bottom end of an extensive Italian wine list) and skipped desert for coffee and an Italian brandy. The damage including service £140 for 2. This price is today about average for an Italian restaurant of this standard in central London similar places we have been to in Covent Garden and Fitzrovia. Do go.
Usually have a lovely evening here with good food, but to be honest, tonight was not the best. Starter salad was good but mains not so good. Not sure what happened here. Just felt like mediocre food and service tonight
