Avaliação da contribuiçãoSome of my friends drove out to Amadora, and I wasn't sure what all the hype was about until I arrived - it was amazing! The service was outstanding, with a waiter who knew the perfect wine to pair with each dish. The specials were delicious, particularly the pumpkin ravioli which was clearly handmade. It was all fantastic! To top it off, we shared a delicious homemade cannoli that I will crave for a long time. I can't wait to go back and will definitely tell all my friends about this place!
On a Wednesday evening, my experience at the a la carte restaurant was disappointing as it was full. The decor was nice, but the tables were too small and the lighting was too bright, which affected the atmosphere. The Antipasto-Sharing-Platter was huge and had the best mozzarella I've ever had. The risotto was excellent, but the lobster Special was just okay and lacking in ingredients. Things took a turn for the worse when the desserts were subpar and the marsala wine we were served was clearly corked and filled with sediment. The service was attentive and polite, although a bit intrusive at times. The wine list was good and we enjoyed the wines we chose. Overall, it was a decent meal, but there were definitely some disappointments.
My 1st time at Amadora, often walked past in my way to the Richmond Curzon, this time I made a reservation, my risotto fungi was v v v good! Definitely going back!
Don't bother to book they don't honour your reservation and so send you away when they are busy.
On booking the table I had some doubts after reading other peoples experiences. Within seconds of arriving such fears were gone. Myself and 3 friends were made to feel very welcome and we could not have asked for more. The customer service was very good and we did not have to wait very long for anything. The food was good and the drinks cold. My only complaint was that the menu did not have any cheese and biscuits .[A nice touch for us pre the rugby]. We will be returning.
