If they have been in Korea, this will be a very clear one. especially if they are regrettable enough to get a table in badly ventilated cellar. the food quality is very moderate, portion so small that they bump when the bill comes, it is very expensive for what it is, what is nothing more than a so do 'Korea bbq' experience that is not even posh enough to justify the cost. much better opportunities throughout the city, they keep away from this.
I just worked at oxford street near fitzrovia, where a lot of underestimated restaurants (used too and still) live. while soho offers some of the trendy and chatting places of the city, restaurants around the “Noho” area do not really get the brands they deserve. koba, a Korean BBQ spot, is one of these places.
We chose a series of BBQ dishes that are less common in Korean restaurants. the thinly cut ochsenzunge was underwhelming, lack of taste and sufficient as they would expect from such a fine meat cut.
The cutesy restaurant at the back of Soho impresses with friendly attentive staff, good food and an authentic Korean feel, giving an experience worth remembering. The restaurant has good reason for having a top reputation and a visit in a group is recommended to have a relaxed and enjoyable evening. See the full review at the hashtagfatinside.com
