Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, nice eating and drinks

Poor and slow service. table for a booking at 16 o'clock was not ready to explain how the Christmas menu worked. wait more than an hour to serve, although the restaurant closed by 18 clock

We have booked the last dinner sessions on Christmas Day for Christmas dinner in the arber garden 3 months in advance. I will prevent this by saying that the gastfreundschaft industry has been hit hard lately, and that this was the Christmas day, but a restaurant that should decide for opening on Christmas day should be better prepared. we came to sit immediately and it took 25 minutes to get service and water. other tables have been set after us and get faster service. only 45 minutes after sitting we received our drinks. the Christmas menu had four main dishes, and the four members of our party ordered all the truthahnfestgericht. the cook/the management had not ordered enough food because thirty minutes after ordering our meals, we were recommended that they were from the truthahn, and we had to choose other meals. fortunately, these meals came fast, but we saw that at least two other tables served the turkey after we were told that no one remained. we have assumed that this was the result of the initial delay in the operation of our table. while eating altogether was quite good, the service left much to wish. the management has created a balance for the failure of service quality. this was not 80 gbp per person meal.

Booked for a family reunion of 9 for 9:30PM, beautiful decor and initial reaction was amazing. Shortly after being seated we was then told the kitchen is closing shortly and we would need to hurry and have all 9 orders of starters mains and desserts ready, which made the experience rushed having notice of the kitchen closing would of helped prior as the entire group would of been able to check the menu before seating. Staff also expressed to us that they did want to leave soon as they joked about work being a long day. It almost felt like we had to rush our food as we was forcing to stay which did make slot of the guests uncomfortable. The table being cleaned was the fastest service of the night. Also do not supply take away dishes for any food you may want to take home. Even with a bill of £492 and service charge included of £55 I did consider removing but I could not fault the quality of the food, it was perfect and presentation was also as amazing and our waitress was very helpful and polite. They should not of allowed a big table of 9 to book at a late time I’m thinking a daytime booking would prevent a lot of problems we occurred. Wouldn’t visit again.

Really lovely lunch! I’d not heard of this restaurant before, and it’s a bit off the beaten track but it’s so lovely. Perfect service, not too in your face but very attentive. Food was lovely and some good vegi options. Will be back!
