I have visited this restaurant several times, but noticed a decline in quality after the pandemic. However, I gave it another chance and was pleasantly surprised. The food at Toro Gordo is back to its former deliciousness. The only negatives were the unusually small portion sizes and mediocre service. The staff seemed overwhelmed and there were very few customers present (only 3 tables occupied).
Some lovely dishes here the Tortilla is exceptional, the quails eggs and ham toastie lovely. Also tried the Chorizo and grilled artichoke. Both good. Friendly service and good Rioja. What else do you need on a cold Friday night.

Super good Spanish food and excellent service, combined with a great atmosphere if you enjoy having a conversation.
