We were a group of 10 with one vegetarian and they made the accommodation possible (tell them when you reserve). Everything is homemade with local products including from their garden. They are the cutest couple and answered all our questions. The food was amazing and the dessert took me over the top. The wine was delicious as well.
Good location, nice decor and very good amenities. The service and staff were very pleasant. 29 euros set meal that was sadly very average and a bit bland, so with wine 36 euros a head so not what a would call value for money.
Situated in what appears to be a very remote location this place is well worth a visit and a great example of the quality of French ferme auberges. These arw part of farms and by law must use produce grown/bred on site. Few non French visitors seem to be aware of their existence and we were the only non French people at Sunday lunch in a packed dining room. There is no menu everybody gets the same. We started with a walnut homemade wine which was then followed by an exquisite salad to which pates and black puddings were later added. Then came the main course focused on three different sorts of home grown pork. . After there was an excellent cheese course followed by the desert, a parfait, which was superb. This is all washed down with a jug of red wine. We finished with a liqueur made from their own plums. All this came to an amazing €29. All told a very pleasurable visit and well worth the journey though you have to be careful to moderate your alcohol consumption.
Coming with friends, we not only had a good time in a bucolic and relaxing environment but we enjoyed the dishes of stitches! we have of course tasted the speciality of the house: kitchen based on the black pig gascon! From one end to the other perfect: whether it is service, report, frame and meal, we will return. Meanwhile, we will enjoy specialties by buying them on the shop of the inn farm.
