Celebrated a birthday at the DG. Service was fabulous attentive and informative. Food was great and looked beautiful.Treat yourself and enjoy!
This was truly an unforgettable meal. The food was very high-end but not pretentious; the service was very welcoming. I would go out of my way to dine here again.
We had been to this restaurant pre pandemic and had a wonderful time and so we were excited to go back. Wow don 't do it. It 's a total scheme for tourists in town to ski. The food is fine, but it 's a waste of money. You will pay $19 for an arugula salad with no protein and it will be so big. Like they dumped a tub of arugula on a plate an inexpensive ingredient with a huge portion. However, my $57 ribeye steak was 4 slices of thin steak over maybe a 1/2 a diced potato an expensive ingredient for almost nothing. My husband 's bolognese had maybe 10 noodles in it. You 'll also pay $17 a glass for mediocre wine. Didn 't bother to stay for dessert. It 's a husband and wife running the place but it feels like a scheme so they only have to be open two days a week. Save your $300+.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was superb! Abby was extremely welcoming and obviously very passionate about their menu. We really loved the homey feel of the restaurant. We started with a dozen oysters $40), which was also the highlight of the meal. Accompanied with a lot of gifts from the chef, such as a risotto ball and fresh made hummus and pita, we left stuffed after our entree of jumbo shrimp. We didn’t know about the changing seasonal menu but the food was still delicious. A definite must try in Ludlow!
