Punjabi Hut - Macarthur

The food is delicious, but the service of late has become very slow. If you don't mind the wait then the food is worth waiting for, it's just a shame about the waiting for your meal.

Punjabi hut is a regular choice for takeaway dinner for us. The 'dinner box' being the choice. You get curry, rice, naan and drink for about $15. Often we will get the chicken tikka pieces and samosa for entree.Butter chicken is the BEST. They do standard or you can spice it up.Only complaint - can be very slow at times, sometimes longer than told when ordering - but well worth wait, every time.

A regular customer and, until now a well satisfied customer, I rang tonight for home delivery. Order only came to $32 and minimum home delivery is $35. I normally give the delivery person a $5 tip but I cancelled the order in protest at such an arbitrary (but substantial) limit. I am only 1.5km from the restaurant and the $5 tip would provide an adequate hourly rate on its own.

Called in for dinner and were greeted with a smile. Service was courteous and friendly. Our meals were hard to choose from the variety of offer. Settled for prawns and the chefs suggestion beef Dacha both were served with the required degree of chilli. Rice was served with saffron for a colourful touch. We also ordered naans, both were light fluffy and moorish. They were doing a steady takeaway trade that usually means the locals patronise the place. Great value and should be a regular go to if we lived locally!

We took my 75 year old father for his birthday dinner tonight. The staff could not have been more kind or helpful. They genuinely wished him a happy birthday and at the conclusion of the meal, unexpectedly brought out some delicious ice cream for him with a sparkler, whilst singing Happy Birthday - my father was delighted!We had dietary requirements - vegetarian and gluten free - and our requests were handled with no fuss whatsoever. The meals were all completely delicious, and a request for some extra rice towards the end of the meal was met with a smile and a steaming bowl within a couple of minutes.A wonderfully welcoming place. We've been there many times in the past but tonight was exceptional. Needless to say we will definitely be back.
