Venice Garden Open Restaurant - Madgaon

Expected the best.But got a rude waiter who refused to put ice in my drink and when pestered put "Fish Ice" in my drink.To make me sick?(Fish ice is unsanitary ice used to keep fish fresh.The food was good.I can beat the prices and quality elsewhere and I never went back.

Situated at the lower end of the municipal gardens near the tut tut stand this is a quite and cool place to relax after a day in Margao. This is not a plush restaurant but pleasant and the food and drink is cheap a chicken curry just 150 rupees try the crispy veg.

This place used to be a nice little Margao oasis but not any more.. filthy excreta covered toilets, wonder what the kitchen is like if they don't clean the toilets ? Won't go again

Wednesday 20 February we visited this small garden restaurant / bar for a drink and escape from the heat of margao. we followed the small dirt path, with it is arcade of trees, bushes and green leaf, felt as if we were on a jungle expedition. at the end of the way we came to a walled garden area with shadow loads of large palms, small umbrellas and a series of fans. we sat on a table, near a fan, a waiter soon came with a menu, at this time we did not want to eat so that we ordered 2 bottles of beer. each large bottle kingfisher rs 110, very reasonable for the center of margao. it was nice to relax, cool down with a cold beer with a slightly listening music in the background. at the entrance of the garden there is a tuk tuk standing, from where we have a tuk tuk back to our accommodation in Majorda/Betalbatim, only rs 250 (less than £3). in the center of the garden was a swimming pool that resembled an old fountain, this was the home of 2 terrapins/doors.
