Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe "mom and pop" diners at these smaller truck stops can be hit or miss, but the J L Diner at the Shell truck stop in Madras, Oregon, is definitely a hit! The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and there’s a great selection—all at a reasonable price! What more could you ask for? If you're passing through, stop by; you won't regret it!
To be fair, we have other truck stops in this small town of Madras, but I'm a bit partial to this one. It's known as the oldest truck stop in Madras, especially favored by some of the long-time truckers who pass through, given our location at the intersection of US 26 and US 97 in this part of Oregon. These men and women help keep this little "truck city" connected to the rest of America by delivering goods further down the line. The café offers a cozy atmosphere and a variety of options that are sure to satisfy those on short and long hauls. When truckers pass through, they can count on a good cup of coffee, hearty meals, and friendly management and staff.
I had curry for dinner and a stuffed hash brown with eggs for breakfast. The curry was the best I've ever had! The hash browns were tasty, but I can't figure out how they made the eggs so much better than anywhere else. The staff was also attentive and friendly.
