Trattoria Di Campagna Borgo Cenaioli

We were in the area on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurants on the main drag were full. We saw the sign and turned up the road and a few turns later we were here. There were 3 menus to choose from, my husband chose the lake and I chose the digestive ? . We shared a giant platter of pasta, family style, with our girls. The owner even picked some fresh basil from the garden to accompany the dish. Some of the best pasta I have had in Italy. My husband got crawfish for his main course and I got wild boar with polenta. Again, some of the best food. Portions were more than generous, I ended up sharing with my daughters, who hadn't wanted a second course. If we are in the area again, I would go back.

We visited this cosy family restaurant in the beginning of August. We waited for a long time for our menus and food, but we thought this was just how it was done around there. We ate the wild boar, which was great tasting(the only dish that was good), but we ordered two boar dishes and only got one served. The owner told us that this is how life is and escalated to the point where the owner stepped outside and yelled some profanity about the food and then he asked us if we were laughing at him. Laughing was all we could do because it was the strangest experience we have ever had at a restaurant. Lastly I will say that the Wine was good, but they also ran out of this, maybe because they drank it all themselves?

A nice located restaurant in the middle of the village . Very nice decorated . Sitting in and out . Owners very friendly . Italian food , pastas , meat dishes . Food is ok , not great , prices modest .

While traveling through Umbria we saw a sign for a Trattoria and we wanted to have a typical Italian experience. We were not disappointed. This small place is not on your main road but it's excellent. It's run by an older couple and it's very nice. The food is excellent. The local wine was great. We had the antipasto del borgo, fresh cavatoni with mushrooms and the one with lake caviar. Both excellent

We have visited for several years and always enjoy delicious meals and friendly owner who shows enormous patience with our basic limited Italian. Delighted to taste prickly pear fruit which was offered by owner. Highly recommend!
